Women's Healthy Space

We are delighted to share that we were awarded £5,000 from the Alma Community Chest Fund to deliver our Women’s Healthy Space Project at Oasis Academy Hadley.

The Women’s Healthy Space was created to provide a safe, welcoming environment where women could prioritise their self-care, relaxation, and overall wellbeing. This initiative supported women to take time for themselves, build meaningful connections, and develop practical tools to enhance both their mental and physical health.

The programme offered weekly yoga sessions alongside two dedicated wellness events, designed to empower women with knowledge and strategies to support their emotional resilience and overall wellbeing. These sessions included wellbeing classes, self-care workshops, and signposting to local health and wellbeing services, ensuring that participants could continue accessing support beyond the project.

The Women’s Healthy Space became a nurturing hub for women seeking a moment of calm, opportunities for personal growth, and a chance to engage in holistic activities that promote balance and restoration.

Yoga Sessions

Practice Hatha Yoga with Steff, on a beautiful path towards relaxation and self-care. Steff offers hatha yoga sessions specifically designed for beginners and those seeking a slow and mindful class.

Steff is a qualified Yoga Teacher, Breathing Practitioner and Executive Coach, empowering women to sleep better and live healthier lives.

Each class concludes with a deeply relaxing Sound Bath guided by Angela, a Qualified Wellbeing Specialist. The soothing vibrations and harmonious tones of the Sound Bath are designed to calm your nervous system, reduce stress, and leave you feeling refreshed and renewed. It’s the perfect way to end your week on a tranquil note.

Yoga and Sound Bath Experience

Women came together with Angela and Steff for a deeply restorative Yoga and Sound Bath Experience at Oasis Academy Studio.

The session began with a nourishing yoga practice guided by Steff, a dedicated Yoga Teacher, inviting deep relaxation, connection, and renewal. Flowing seamlessly into Angela’s sound bath, the evening unfolded into a sanctuary of harmony and healing.

Angela, a Sound Healer, Reiki Master, and Spiritual Guide, led participants on a transformative journey through sound, using instruments such as maracas, Tibetan chakra healing bowls, chimes, and steel tongue drums. Each was carefully chosen for its unique healing frequencies and vibrations. Rather than simply playing the sounds, Angela wove them into layered harmonic patterns designed to soothe the nervous system, balance energy, and invite profound relaxation.

The atmosphere encouraged women to release and immerse themselves fully in the resonance, gently drifting into deeper states of stillness and being. The healing vibrations worked in harmony with the yoga practice, amplifying the benefits of both movement and rest.

Participants described the evening as a beautiful fusion of sound and yoga that left them feeling refreshed and grounded.
