Wellbeing Together 2026
🩷Wellbeing Together: From Community Connection to Our Next Chapter
My Wellbeing Space is proud to have delivered Wellbeing Together, a 12-week community wellbeing project designed by Angela Cousins to bring women and children together in a supportive, welcoming local space.
Hosted at Ponders End Youth and Family Hub, the project created an accessible environment where local women and children could come together, improve their wellbeing, build confidence, develop new skills and strengthen connections within their community.
💪 Supporting Women’s Wellbeing
Women had the opportunity to take part in gym, exercise and boxing sessions designed to accommodate different fitness levels and abilities. Whether participants were taking their first steps towards becoming more active or looking to build confidence and maintain their wellbeing, the sessions provided a positive and encouraging environment.
Boxing sessions were delivered by PowerBoxFitness, helping women to become more active while encouraging them to prioritise their physical and emotional wellbeing.
🎨 Creativity, Confidence & Connection
Alongside the women’s activities, children aged 5+ took part in fun and engaging creative workshops, including:
🎨 Arts and crafts
✨ Vision boards
💭 Positive affirmations
🖌️ Stencilling
🧵 Basic sewing
These activities gave children opportunities to express themselves, explore their creativity, learn new skills and build friendships with other local children.
Women who preferred not to take part in exercise were also welcome to join the creative activities alongside their children, creating opportunities for quality time, shared experiences and family connection.
👩👧 Wellbeing Together — Why It Mattered
A key strength of Wellbeing Together was bringing women and children together in one accessible community setting.
For many women, finding time to focus on their own wellbeing while managing childcare can be a significant barrier. By offering activities for both generations at the same time, the project helped create a more accessible route into wellbeing, connection and participation.
The project demonstrated the value of creating welcoming, women-centred spaces where families can participate, connect and grow together.
🌱 From Wellbeing Together To Our Next Chapter
The completion of Wellbeing Together marks an important step in the development of our wider wellbeing work.
Building on what we learned through the project, the positive relationships we developed and the feedback from our community, My Wellbeing Space is now taking the next step with our Women & Children’s Healthy Space project, starting in September 2026.
This next phase builds on the foundations of Wellbeing Together, continuing our commitment to creating safe, inclusive and accessible spaces where women and children can improve their wellbeing, build confidence, develop skills and strengthen community connections.
💙Our Journey Continues… Wellbeing Together may have finished, but the journey continues.
From bringing women and children together through shared activities, to developing a longer-term Healthy Space for our community, we are continuing to listen, learn and grow alongside the women and families we support.
