Cultural Showcase Event
My Wellbeing Space was proud to host a successful Cultural Showcase event, funded by the Phoenix Way initiative, celebrating the creativity, talent, culture, and achievements of young people within our community.
We were honoured to welcome the Mayor of Enfield as our special guest, who officially opened the evening with an inspiring speech recognising the importance of creating positive opportunities and safe spaces for young people.
The evening featured a range of powerful performances and creative displays from young people across our programmes and partner organisations. The showcase included an epic live musical performance from secondary students at Oasis Academy Hadley, featuring drumming, piano, and singing performances that brought incredible energy and talent to the evening. Guests also enjoyed a moving cultural poetry performance from our Homework Club students, an energetic boxing demonstration from young people at PowerBoxFitness, and a vibrant cultural fashion show celebrating identity, heritage, and self-expression.
The event also celebrated the achievements of young people who successfully completed AQA Unit Awards in leadership and creativity. Work experience students were recognised for their contribution, teamwork, and leadership throughout the project, while Homework Club students received AQA accreditation for their creativity, participation, and cultural expression.
Guests also had the opportunity to view a collection of Cultural Vision Boards created by a mixture of students, showcasing their aspirations, backgrounds, creativity, and personal journeys.
The evening began with a warm welcome from the My Wellbeing Space team, followed by the Mayor’s opening address. Throughout the event, young people confidently expressed themselves through music, poetry, boxing, fashion, and creative arts, highlighting the positive impact of youth engagement, culture, and wellbeing activities.
This event formed part of our wider work to provide positive pathways for young people through creative expression, wellbeing, mentoring, and accredited opportunities that help build confidence, resilience, and community connection.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Oasis Academy Hadley for their continued support and for generously providing the facilities to host this memorable event.
We are incredibly proud of all the young people who took part and helped make the evening such a meaningful and inspiring success.

The People Who Made It Happen
This event would not have been possible without the incredible support, collaboration, and dedication of everyone involved, including the continued support of Oasis Academy Hadley. From staff, students, volunteers, and parents to our partners, tutors, performers, and supporters, each person played an important role in making the Cultural Showcase such a meaningful and inspiring celebration. Together, we created a positive space for young people to express themselves, celebrate their culture, and showcase their talents with confidence and pride.
At My Wellbeing Space, alongside our valued partners, we are committed to creating positive opportunities that help reduce the risk of children and young people becoming involved in violence. Through initiatives such as our Homework Club, Cultural Events, Creative Workshops, Wellbeing Activities, Boxing Programmes and Work Experience Placements, we provide safe and supportive spaces where young people can build confidence, develop skills, express themselves positively, and strengthen their sense of belonging. By encouraging creativity, achievement, leadership, and community connection, we help support children and young people to engage in healthy, positive pathways for their future.

Highlight's From Showcase

Cultural Vision Boards
Our Cultural Vision Boards gave young people the opportunity to creatively express their identity, culture, aspirations, and personal experiences through art and design. Using images, colours, words, flags, and meaningful symbols, students created unique boards that reflected who they are, what inspires them, and what they hope to achieve in the future.
The activity encouraged creativity, self-expression, confidence, and positive conversations around heritage, belonging, and identity. Each board represented an individual voice and celebrated the diversity, talent, and experiences within our community.
The Cultural Vision Board display became a powerful feature of the showcase, allowing young people to share their stories visually and proudly celebrate their culture in a positive and inspiring way.

Highlight's From Boxing Showcase
The boxing showcase was a powerful highlight of the evening, with young people confidently demonstrating their boxing skills, discipline, focus, and determination through a structured performance. The showcase reflected the positive impact that boxing can have on confidence, emotional wellbeing, resilience, and self-control.
