Women and Children's Healthy Space
Thank We are thrilled to announce that we received £9,971 in funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to deliver the Women’s and Children’s Healthy Space programme in Ponders End. This initiative has been a resounding success, bringing women and children together to prioritise their health, wellbeing, and creativity in a safe and welcoming environment.
The programme offered a wide range of enriching activities, including Zumba, Yoga, Sound Bath sessions, and Arts and Crafts workshops. These activities created unique opportunities for participants to relax, bond, and explore new ways of nurturing their physical and mental wellbeing.
We were proud to collaborate with Ace Youth Club and the Oasis Academy Hub, whose partnerships helped us deliver impactful and meaningful sessions. A highlight of the programme was our special Wellbeing Retreat, which provided a serene space for participants to reflect, recharge, and connect with others.
We also launched Arts & Crafts classes at the Ponders End Youth and Community Hub in partnership with ACE Youth Centre. Every Sunday, we held two-hour creative exploration sessions, welcoming an enthusiastic group of young participants each week. These sessions offered a safe and engaging environment where young people could express themselves through art and connect with their peers.
We teamed up with Oasis Hadley Community Hub to deliver a series of interactive Arts & Crafts classes and Physical Activity play sessions at Oasis Academy Hadley School. Over the course of four three-hour sessions, children and their parents came together to explore creativity and movement. Each session attracted an energetic group of, along with their parents, creating a vibrant atmosphere of family connection and fun.
Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive. Both women and children expressed their enjoyment and appreciation for the programme, highlighting the supportive environment and the value of these activities in their lives.
We are deeply grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for their support and to our incredible instructors, partners, and participants for making the Women’s and Children’s Healthy Space such a memorable and impactful initiative.

Women's Wellbeing Retreat
On December 9th, 2024, My Wellbeing Space hosted an unforgettable Women’s Wellbeing Retreat with Youreka Yoga, a day designed to offer women a much needed sanctuary to recharge, connect, and access invaluable community and wellness resources.
The retreat provided a nurturing space where attendees could prioritise their wellbeing while fostering meaningful connections. Highlights of the day included:
Women’s Empowering Circle: A powerful gathering that set the tone for the day, encouraging reflection, sharing, and collective inspiration.
Yoga and Mindfulness Sessions: Guided practices that invited participants to find balance, calm their minds, and reconnect with themselves.
Wellbeing Workshops: Engaging and insightful workshops designed to equip women with practical tools to nurture their mental, emotional, and physical health.
Holistic Treatments: Attendees had the opportunity to indulge in relaxing massages, including Thai massage, and relaxation massages, and other rejuvenating therapies tailored to their needs.
The event concluded with a heart-warming Closing Women’s Circle, where participants shared a final moment of connection and reflection, leaving everyone inspired and supported as they transitioned back to their daily lives.
As a thoughtful parting gesture, each woman received a curated goody bag, filled with items carefully selected to support her ongoing self-care journey. This token of care served as a reminder of the enriching experience and encouraged women to continue prioritizing their wellbeing.
We are grateful to all who joined us and helped make this retreat a success.

Zumba Women & Children

Bringing Families Together Through Fitness and Fun
As part of the Women’s Healthy Space Project, we hosted vibrant evening Zumba classes designed specifically for women and their children. These sessions were more than just a workout, they became a space for family bonding, personal growth, and community building.
Each week, participants learned fresh, exciting choreographed routines that were simple to follow yet filled with energy and creativity. The routines were carefully crafted to ensure that everyone regardless of age or fitness level could join in and enjoy. The lively music, upbeat atmosphere, and enthusiastic instructors made every session a celebration of movement, fun, and togetherness.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the project was the smiles and laughter we saw at every session. The energy in the room was infectious, and the positive feedback we received highlighted just how impactful these evenings were for everyone involved.
