My Wellbeing Space Homework Club

🌟Helping Children Learn, Grow, Connect and Thrive

After two successful years of supporting children to learn, grow and build confidence, we are delighted to announce that the My Wellbeing Space (MWS) Homework Club is rolling out again from September 2026 for children attending Oasis Academy Hadley.

What started as an opportunity to support children beyond the classroom has grown into an established and valued part of our community programme. Over the past two years, we have created a welcoming environment where children can complete their homework, receive the support they need, develop positive learning habits and, most importantly, believe in their ability to succeed.

We are excited to continue that journey — helping children learn, connect, build confidence and thrive.

📚 Supporting Learning and Academic Progress

The Homework Club is open to children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (ages 5–11) and provides tailored support in Maths, Writing, Reading, and Grammar. By working in close partnership with Oasis Academy Hadley, we ensure that the support we provide is fully aligned with the school curriculum, reinforcing classroom learning while helping children to build confidence, develop study skills, and achieve their potential.

💛 More Than Just a Homework Club

We believe that supporting children and young people is about more than academic achievement. It is about helping them develop the confidence, skills and experiences they need to succeed both in education and beyond.

Through our programmes, we provide opportunities for children and young people to:

  • Complete homework in a positive and supportive environment

  • Ask questions and receive additional help when needed

  • Strengthen learning, study and communication skills

  • Build confidence, independence and self-belief

  • Gain AQA Unit Awards and recognise their achievements

  • Develop practical skills and explore future opportunities

  • Build positive relationships and strengthen social skills

  • Access work experience opportunities, for Year 12 students

For families, the club and wider MWS programmes provide reassurance that children and young people are accessing a safe, welcoming and supportive environment, while gaining valuable learning, personal development and opportunities that can help them prepare for their future.

🛡️ A Safe Space To Learn And Grow

The safety and wellbeing of every child is at the heart of our work.

All staff are DBS-checked and trained to uphold the highest safeguarding standards. With the continued support of Oasis Academy Hadley, we remain committed to creating an environment where every child feels safe, valued, encouraged and supported.

Homework Club Plus: Creative Workshops

As part of our enhanced Homework Club Plus programme, creative workshops give children the opportunity to explore their creativity in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. Alongside academic support, these sessions encourage children to express themselves, build confidence, develop new skills and discover their strengths.

Throughout the programme, children take part in a variety of creative activities, including stencil art, design, crafts and collaborative projects. Sessions are supported by our team, young leaders and Year 12 work-experience students, creating opportunities for children to learn, work together and be inspired by positive role models.

Our creative workshops are designed to promote wellbeing, teamwork, communication, confidence and a sense of achievement. Children are encouraged to take pride in their ideas, try something new and celebrate their individual creativity while working alongside their peers.

Where appropriate, children and young people can also work towards AQA Unit Awards, giving them the opportunity to have their participation, learning and achievements formally recognised.

At the end of selected projects, children have the opportunity to showcase and celebrate their creative work with parents and carers. These celebrations provide a chance for families to see their children's effort, progress and creativity first-hand, helping to build confidence and strengthen connections between home, school and the Homework Club Plus community.
